Agreed with all of this. But the biggest reason why we should pass on Sanchez is that it would hurt our squad's harmony. The togetherness amongst all the players has been a standout for me this season, and giving fewer minutes to Sterling, Sane, Bernardo would undoubtedly undermine that. Either Sanchez would demote one of Sterling & Sane to the bench (when they've both been far better than him this season) or we'd sign a 29 year-old for depth. Neither situation makes any sense

so we should never buy another player ever again?

Not in my opinion. Both decidedly average at best. West Brom/Stoke level signings. I'd be annoyed if we were after them.

I think it is the club saying , we won't pay silly money. You have a player who is only interested in going to one club. We will not be held to ransom. So let's negotiate a reasonable price or we wait until summer.
