Wigan FA Cup post-match thread

Bravo - keeps up his record, 1 shot on target - Goal - awful keeper, defence panic when the ball goes to him,
Danillo - Runs about but ineffective, Not a left back, cover or not
Stones - Awful - mistake waiting to happen, back passes to keepers always put them in trouble
Laporte - was OK, but the more he plays with last nights back 4 he get worse not better
Delph - Should of known better with tackle with that Ref
Sane - chicken, scared of getting injured, stood out on the wing did nothing
Silva - inefective
Fernandinho - did ok, why doesn't he shoot
Bernado - All left footed, stops running when ball passed to him, easy to defend
Gundogan - left, right, backwards, but no forward penetration, should of scored, inefective
Aguero -

De Bruyne - Did ok
Walker - 1 mistake

Pep - Respect the supporters, Respect the cups, Play first choice and then withdraw players

Ref - Anthony Taylor !! Why is he even allowed to ref Man City matches, family of Man Utd season ticket holders, but he support Altrincham !!! who believes that !!

Team for sunday

Edinson
Walker Otamendi Laporte Zinchenko
DeBuyne Fernadino D. Silva
Stirling Aguero / Jesus Sane

Is Warnock suggesting on talksport that Delph’s tackle was worse than the one on Sane?!?

Very disappointed.

I think Delph is very unlucky to have been sent off. He went for the ball, and he went in in a controlled manner. Wigan players reactions have got him sent off.

But I expect City in first half, and even with 10 men in the 2nd to deal with the situation.

Nothing to be done about it now but try and get the maximum out of the games that remain in what is a great season for MCFC.

Read quite a lot online this morning on various forums and lots of people have obviously been waiting a long time for City to fall, and are jubilant. Just wait until City lift the Premiership trophy.

Ferns miss, Sergio should have squared, walker mistake and you pick on Bravo who really did nothing wrong

Yep, Sergio squares that and we're still in the cup. A minute later we're down to 10, just crazy.

Hope Sane not injured, he was struggling but we've seen more than once he can be having a mare and then win a game on his own. Without Sterling's pace I'd have thought we'd keep him on.

Also can't help but feel that's a game that Jesus finds a way to score.

So it's a combination of bad choices by players, inept refereeing and our injuries have caught up with us.

It's a game of football no one died we lost no big deal were still going to win the league and have a Wembley appearance to look forward to, let's get focused for Sunday and move on

A game that showed how much we need Raheem and KdB in situations where we struggle to get through a team that gets behind the ball.

The difference KdB made with his pace, power and quick forward play was stark. Raheem would also have been useful with his ability to run at defenders.

Credit to Wigan though. Lost count of the number of times they blocked shots and despite Walker’s brain freeze (not his first of the season) Grigg took his goal really well.

For me it’s a one off - we will be back and strong from Sunday onwards.
