eurocamp italy

Really interested to read replies on this. I've looked at it a few times but really don't fancy driving in Europe so need to look at other transport options.

Once you're out of the UK the driving is easy as long as you don't travel at start or end of French holidays. You can stop at other camps on the way to break up the journey.
These camps are great for kids and provide clubs and kids couriers to keep them occupied.
Instead of using one of the big firms like eurocamp you can find small independent companies that will be much cheaper. Even better would be contacting an owner direct (static mobile homes).
One tip when driving in France, put a Scots or Irish sticker on the car instead of a GB. Far less cahnce of being pulled by a bent copper.

If you drive in the UK then driving in Europe is miles and miles easier and more pleasant. Better roads, better and clearer signage, less traffic, less idiot drivers. France, Belgium, Spain all an absolute skoosh. The only problem is you have to come back and drive on UK roads with UK drivers.

Completely agree on the driving, it is so much easier in France. We tend to get the Roscoff to Plymouth ferry on the way back and it is incredibly depressing when you come off the boat back onto British roads!

That, and Plymouth is an absolute dump...

In Italy?
Went with Eurocamp/Eurosites lots of times when kids were younger, including a couple of the sites just outside Venice - Ca Savio and Union Lido - just a short hop across to Venice by boat from those. Enjoyed both sites. Driving's easy enough and if you stick to the motorways you shouldn't have a problem, you pay tolls of course but that helps reduce the traffic on them especially in France (school holidays excepted as someone previously mentioned).
