Missed chances and poor defending was the main reason we lost, but it was not just the bad penalty decisions that peed me off about Atkinson. That foul against Sterling, when Young had wrestled him to the ground was just one of loads of crap decisions that went against us.

It's good to see Keith Hackett has seriously questioned Atkinsons performance. At least it shows we are right in our utter contempt for the twat.

We should highlight this at every opportunity, without a shadow of a doubt the players will have noticed this too, it would be folly to think it wasn't on the players minds more and more as the game progressed, they will know he was looking to give them an advantage at every opportunity, and he did.

and yet 90 seconds after missing the most blatant holding of Sterling (being carried out before and after the throw-in was taken), that same sight-impaired linesman noticed Sterling's hand brush with the ball in virtually the same spot on the pitch.

We got this far by playing our best 11 whenever possible. Had we done that Saturday we'd have won then too. We are too good for the ref to do us. We handed them the chance to cheat us.
Exactly. We made our own luck. Now we know ManUre's first team is just about good enough to beat a mostly 2nd string City team, with a little help from the ref & his assistants.

We'll know if this was worth the risk after tomorrow's game.

Here is proof!
This is a viscous attack by Aguero and he was lucky to only see yellow

Funny isn't it. Whenever we get fucked by the officials you hear the same line... "forget the decisions, we shoulda woulda coulda..." bollocks. All we want is a level playing field where we don't have to try harder and get luckier than our opponents. It's a miracle we even got this far in front with c**ts like Atkinson.

Spot on

That "cutting the grass" sweep with both hands is for no-one's benefit but the linesman - I'm not giving it, don't you dare intervene. At that level maybe the linesman - if he knows what he saw - should still be shouting "foul - red red red" and put his flag up.

He's normally a good referee. On Saturday he cheated pure and simple. Whether under orders or not is debatable but that was not an honest performance.

Agree totally. He was got at.
Every other person, including rags on tv, saw that as a pen and a red, only HE didn't, can only be corrupt. That or a poor ref and that he isnt.
