North west tonight. “Manchester United secured 2nd place in the premier League tonight by drawing 0-0 at West Ham United ... although it was not through lack of trying as this shot shows”. Pathetic glitter coated turdage to keep the masses feeling like ‘winners’.

is Luke Shaw the biggest multi million pound flop of the premier league era ??

£30m for a chubby, lad with no basic skill, will not touch the ball with his right foot, never scored a senior goal and would do well to get in a championship starting 11.

I jest not, ESPN has provided this analysis...

Luke Shaw impresses in return as Man United secure second in Premier League

How does Smalling stay on the pitch. Last night was like every other game he`s played over the years. Its like he is dancing with a dance partner, his hands are all over the opponent and always allowed to do it by the officials

2nd spot secured and with a game to spare was the narrative last night pmsl.

Caught the last 25 mins and they are fucking dire.

The extra element to this is the fall-off in revenues as swathes of the 69million devotees abandon them in droves because they are not equipped to deal with a period of failure as they rebuild, as you rightly point out, as any normal club has to do.
They won’t want to wear the shirt, or sleep under the duvet covers of a non-winning side....sadly when they start to look around for the next glory-hunting bandwagon, there seems to be a very obvious candidate not too far away.
This might have been a possibility a few years ago but with the advent of the web even the strange, long distance, "couldn't find it if they were stood on Chester Road with an A-Z" mob know about local rivalry and won't switch to City (or even the Dippers "next" year).
More to the point; the rags keep picking up cups and usually get to the knock-out stages of the CL. That's good enough for many clubs and maintains the influx of glory-hunters. We might get the majority of the next generation of glory-hunters but I doubt we'll convert the current rags however limited their actual support.
The clock has been ticking since the 2011 FA Cup semi final. The tock is still a long way off. April 7th could have started it but we messed up. Grind them into dust is my motto where those clowns are concerned.

Top of the Sky sports app this morning, very vitriolic in their achievement.

However if we win at Southampton on Sunday they will be the worst 2nd place that’s kicked a ball in anger in this country. Not the history you really want recording in the record books do you?
