Yaya is not a miss and has had his farewell. Silva is with family. Mendy seems to have only played cameos at home, he’s not being risked away. So that leaves Otamendi. Our best centre back this season, but we have Laporte, Stones and Vinnie. Hardly a travesty. And hardly a weakened team.

I think Pep has played a blinder keeping the players motivated after we’ve clinched the title. He’s used “the numbers” (which the players probably aren’t really bothered about) to keep them focused. Done his best to meet their wc aspirations, fitted in yaya’s send off and let Dave have plenty of time off his family. We’ll reap the benefits next season
