Royal Wedding

"I join the Prime Minister in wishing Harry and Meghan all the best, and I thank Harry for his work to highlight the need to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, and the ability for us all to talk about mental health to ensure that people do not suffer in silence on their own—particularly young people, who are often so grievously affected by this."

He made several tweets on Saturday and made no reference to the royal wedding. That was his only reference - he is anti royal as we know and anyone saying otherwise is in cloud cuckoo land but I will save it to not divert from the special occasion.

Trump would have groped her knowing his form. If you hear the sound of a tic tac box opening love, run like fuck.

And Corbyn did congratulate them.

Corbyn made 5 tweets on Saturday and not one referenced the wedding - he also made one sarcastic dig. I have seen a few of my extreme socialist friends make comment after comment about tax papers money paying for a wedding that generated the country in excess of 1 billion pound. Anyway lets not divert it as Karen said - it was a magnificent occasion and showed our country and its wonderful pomp and sense of occasion to the world. I really enjoyed it.

Are you genuinely criticising the leader of the opposition for making an official statement in Parliament rather than banging it out in a tweet? The dumbing down of politics is complete.

He is anti Royal - my last post on the subject on this thread.

Can't imagine why anyone would feel contempt towards a couple who've just been given a couple of titles, a dukedom and a free house paid for by the taxpayer because they got married ?

Do you know it was paid by the taxpayer? Do you know if they make more for the country than cost?

He still congratulated them. I like young Harry, I watched a bit of it but was scunnered by the American bishop.

Im not a supporter of hereditary titles either, but, the two brothers are good lads.

I thought the abuse the girl took early days was shameful and I’m glad Harry came and called that out.

The monarchy needs to connect more and these young guys and their better halves I hope will do that.

So what if he is? Plenty of people are. He fulfilled his official duty by congratulating them in Parliament. To expect any more from him is a bit strange.

I think otherwise and I don't think it strange in the slightest to want a potential leader of the country to support the Royal Family - he has made his views known before many times.

He is very anti Royal - just hiding it at present as it will go against him.

In fact charlie paid for most of it,meghan paid a lot towards her dress and is paying for the honeymoon,no doubt harry chipped in something

The day was beautiful from the couple, the weather, the pomp and ceremony, the whole thing showed off what us brits can do and was a feel good day in amongst the gloom and doom
