That last season particularly was awful. We scraped 4th on GD and only because the rags lost their last game at West Ham.

We actually got 4th with a game to spare due to having a much better goal difference. United lost to West Ham in their 37th game and had their last match postponed until after the season ended.

But you are right it was an awful season, one that we should have won the league in.

Manuel will be great for West Ham. He did a great job for us and produced the most entertaining football we had seen for decades.

I really liked Pellegrini, off the field he was my favourite of our recent managers always calm and collected. I understand the football went downhill but I felt he was on a hiding to nothing in his last season with Pep coming in. I haven't seen him say a bad word about the club or fans even though things got quite toxic towards the end. I enjoyed the trophies he won and really hope he succeeds at West Ham.
