Zidane resigns

Which will be hailed by the English media as a “bold, clever choice” as he has shown “his aptitude with smaller clubs with much more limited budgets” and so has earned his chance to “take the reigns of a big club, with a transfer budget to match, to show the world he can become the next Zidane.”

When he is sacked 10 months later they will say “we always knew it wouldn’t work out as he was wholely unqualified for the position” and that he “wasn’t supported by the board or players as he should have been”, before declaring his replacement, LVG, will “bring glory back to the Bernabeu!”

and whilst he's there, Alan Brazil will be asking every interviewee about "Wee Davy"

I honestly wonder what will happen in the next 3 years for Real Madrid.

Ramos, Benzema, Marcelo, Ronaldo, Navas, Modric all 30+, and Bale 28 and injury-prone. Whoever takes over has a massive rebuilding job, with an impatient board and set of fans.

Surely Klopp is a frontunner to replace him following his outstanding achievements with the dippers.
