If he did do what you are suggesting, maybe Salah didn't want to be associated with an Israeli team, that is not, of itself, anti-Semitic.

It's like people who say boycott Israel because of their so called treatment of people in Gaza yet these people say nothing when these same people are being murdered by Syrians. Is it because Israel isn't involved in Syria then they don't say anything?

That's classic whataboutery. I've no idea what Salah's view is on Syria, or the plight of the Rohingya in Myanmar, or his view on asylum seekers in leaky boats in the Med, but I do know that whatever his opinions are on these subjects, assuming he has an opinion, it has no bearing whatsoever on whether he shakes hands with an Israeli team or not.
