What does Martin Demichelis have to do with it?
Freudian slip. The sexy pony tailed beast is always on the back of my mind.
What does Martin Demichelis have to do with it?
Around £40m each.
If the player is good enough you make the room. We need to be careful not to get too invested in Phil Foden. No doubt hes a great player for his age and has shown he has quality since Pep is keeping him around, BUT, there is a chance he will not be good enough or he may stop progressing. It would be great to have a childhood City supporting player at the club but we need to keep the club first in mind and if there is a better player available, we make the room.Go on then, who are you selling? We can't literally make more room, so you've got to sell one of our senior foreign players, and none of them look like going. Probably one of the ones in his position too as there's so obviously no room for him at the moment.
You'd also have to loan Foden out obviously as he's not going to play at all with yet another player in front of him. Silva playing less was supposed to be the one hope he had of more playing time next season, but another £40m player coming in will road block that.
This transfer doesn't make sense on any level whatsoever.

How does going after one of the most promising attacking midfielders in the world not make sense?
It doesn't make sense because we already have KDB, Silva, Gundogan, Bernardo and Foden in that position.
It wound't make sense us spending 100m on Alisson either, by your logic "how does going after one of the most promising goalkeepers in the world not make sense?" Answer - because we're already stacked in that position at every level of experience and age.
You never answered the question either, just "make some room" as if that meant anything.
IN: Paqueta, Mahrez, Jorginho.
OUT: Diaz(loan) or Tosin(loan, probable anyway) Zinchenko, Yaya.
Sane, Sterling, Mahrez, Bernardo. Four for two positions.
KDB, Silva, Gundogan, Foden, Paqueta in January. Five for two with Paqueta/Foden not demanding major minutes this season. Gradually phased in over the next two seasons before Dave is ready to retire. We played three for two positions last season so it’s more pressing than it might look.
Some responses on here are dumb.
There is no room for this player, it doesn't matter what kind of talent he is for a 20 year old.
Also, if people ask you "who do you get rid of?", the response "you just make room" is super lame and pointless. Here are some examples of what you can say in case you can't be bothered to think:
1) Sell Gundogan --> Foden, Paqueta and Bernardo rotate with David and Kevin. Bernardo rotates on wing as well.
2) Loan out Foden --> If you don't believe he has the talent or is too weak and needs regular game time (even when all evidence points to a massive career ahead for this lad).
Those are just 2 ideas after some thought, and I don't agree with either of them. Bernardo and Foden are both very young and set up our attacking mid future, heck, even Brahim can play here as well.
