Regardless of the rights or wrongs of it (and the fact that it looks like it was the incorrect line-up anyway), the sheer indignation and arrogance in the reaction of journalists on Twitter over the last few days has been quite something. Their sense of self-importance and seemingly knows no bounds, and shows just how out of touch with ordinary fans many of them are nowadays.

Some of these journalists think that the most important part of any story is the fact that they've arrived to cover it.

The good thing has been the almost universal condemnation from the England fans in reply on Twitter. I think that has caught them by surprise.

They obviously feel enabled by people's reactions. Most of their papers have sister papers over here and they wouldn't dare pull that leading up to a World Cup match (If we ever pulled our finger out and qualified). Mind you, they don't conduct hate campaigns against our players either.

The entitlement is what gets me, they think they're bigger than they actually are, they think the footballing world would collapse without them.

The reaction from the England fans has been great though, everyone telling them where to go.

They think the public want to read about a bit of paper with a team on it and then thinking it’s a scoop couldn’t give 2 fcuks.

Sky sources understands.
Hate that phrase so much.
Does that mean there is a mole in a camp or purely guesswork?
Either way the press shouldn't be coming out with these headlines in the build up to the match, it's ridiculous.

It means everyone else in the media is talking about it and they want to appear knowledgeable.
