Has everyone seen this artichoke in the independent slating city and mahrez. Not sure how to post a link here but it’s absolutely unbelievable the arrogance of this journalist. Telling a professional footballer what he should do with his career and that he doesn’t really need city because whatever he achieves will never compare to the Leicester title win. How the fuck would he know what means more to another man?!?

I've noticed over the last few days that sky are slipping in carragher reports/opinions on the app, preparing us all for his return to punditry
I think he’s served a period away from broadcasting and I have no problem with him returning to media work and earning a living. What he did really wasn’t that bad in the scheme of things. If Giggs can work in tv, there’s absolutely no reason Carragher can’t.

His writing style is laboured and he discernibly undermines the point he is trying to advance with his last paragraph, where he appears to significantly qualify what has gone before it, which ultimately renders the piece to be a clumsily constructed argument.

He also conspicuously fails to appreciate (or at least acknowledge) that having the players that he listed at our disposal is the only realistic prospect we (or any other English club) can possibly have to compete against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich for the Champions League - especially with the ancillary rigours of challenging for the Premier League, something those clubs aren’t required to endure. One Champions League for an English club since 2008 would suggest that English clubs need to stockpile the level of talent described (as those three foregoing clubs do) in order to compete. In that sense, we do ‘need’ Mahrez.

Maybe he doesn’t want English clubs to be competitive in the world’s greatest club competition, and there are worthwhile reasons for holding that view (as many City fans do), but he manifestly failed to address that point in his article, which shows a conspicuous lack of application to the subject matter, as that clearly represents the principal reason for City buying Mahrez. As such, his argument carries nugatory force.

So in summary, it’s a shit, lazy and pitifully weak article.

It’s a hateful, ignorant article. Hateful of us and ignorant of Mahrez’s qualities and our difficulties facing deep defences sometimes last season.

It's an article without a heart. Probably had some column inches to knock out and thought thistle do.

Not to mention Piers f******g Morgan.

Rashford came onto the pitch and within a minute the commentator had announced `Rashford the man united player ` not sure anyone needed to know that but it might explain why Young did not pass to Sterling at the world cup,
