Certainly not with this mob.The media are doing a fine job of building us for the fall as we simply don't have the talent or ability to threaten the better teams.I'd imagine there won't ever be such a golden opportunity, where all the big guns were eliminated early.
I'd put pretty decent money on England never winning the WC while I'm alive.

We went with a young and inexperienced side and a side that is still fairly new to national tournaments.
Given the usual negative press and fans saying we wouldn't progress pass the 2nd round personally I think they've done fantastic and was only 90mins away from a final.
How people, posters and "fans" can complain is beyond me but then again this country are world champions at being moaning ****s and looking at things negatively.
Made me proud to be an Englishman and cheer the team on.

Only in this country can a team lose 3 games and that's what we did and be classed as heroes or even close to challenging.
Rejoice in the fact that tomorrow all that did go wrong was Raheems fault.

No team lost more matches than us!
Only teams we beat in 90 mins were Tunisia, Panama and Sweden.
Only Iran create fewer chance in open play per match than us.
It’s really not that impressive. I think only our nation could possibly get excited about such a tournament from their national team.

Trippier, Pickford and Stones the stars for me. Kane and Alli underperformed. The rest were ordinary which I think most of us already knew.
