Unbelievable effort from Bardet after an incredible run of bad luck. The clip of him screaming in agony is the best moment of the tour for me so far. It means so much to him.

That looked like a really tough day. Very enjoyable watching it though. It did feel a bit unfair on the riders though because it is so different to what is on the tour that it felt like just a day to survive

With Porte out, not too many of Froomes main rivals in GC, actually ahead of him. Assuming that is, that Geraint Thomas will eventually have to concede. First day in the Alps tomorrow, Froome is right up there as one of the world's best climbers, but Thomas isn't too far behind him. Will be an interesting watch
