Bridge on the River Kwai and Death Railway

It was horrific the place was drenched in blood, they set up rape buildings and literally raped some of those girls to death,

I watched a documentary about a Japanese woman who accused a high ranking media person of raping her in 2015.

Unbelievable the views of both men and women in Japan regarding rape victims.

It is like the dark ages.

Are there any good books or reading around this? I enjoy reading about the War but will concede that I know very little about the proceedings in Aisa during the War.

Nemesis - The Battle for Japan 1944 - 1945 by Max Hastings

The Dark Valley : A Panorama of the 1930s by Piers Brendon covers the build up to war in all the main countries.

I watched the same programme. It was on BBC wasn’t it? I agree with your sentiments
