Anyone able to recommend me a good bar in Madrid to watch the Charity Shield and City generally throughout the season?
I live in Madrid now but I’ve only been here 2 weeks and still know stuff all about the place, was hoping to make it to London for Sunday but some visa related issues here are stopping me, so hoping someone can help me out with the next best option!
Cheers!!

Watched City v Basle the away leg in a place called O'Conell St Bar - Calle Espoz y Mina. It was full of Juve and Spurs fans watching their game and we were the only City fans in. Had three huge screens up with only one having our game on. Place is a bit of a dive but very friendly people and not an ounce of trouble. Think the place next door also shows games and is owned by the same guy

All I can say is good luck with the heat in Madrid this time of year. Most of the madristas are here on the costa’s so try to stay frosty:-)

I watched City v PSG in the James Joyce Irish bar a couple of years ago. It was ace, just near the retiro park

Thanks for the recommendations folks, I’ll give one of them a crack!

Haha mate I’ve travelled a lot and spent most of my childhood in Australia ... while this heat here is far from ideal, it doesn’t trouble me too much!
