If they were going to kill him they would have kept Bucky and made him do it to get the Soul Stone. 2 films left on Stan's contract as well. Stark and Hawkeye are my favourites to go.

Better to watch Captain America: Winter Soldier and Civil War + Thor Ragnorak, they're among the better Marvel films and more relevant to the plot.
