I remember seeing these songs on top of the pops at the time, I was only 6 but that was the first bit of music that I could remember giving me butterflies.

I started listening to music through 'uncle mac' on the radio in the early 60's. My fave top 10 were:

This one's a bit left field but they used to play it at Burnden every home game in the late 70's.

Brings back memories of Frankie Worthy warming up in his yellow Cambrian Soft Drinks trackie, flicking the ball over his head and catching it on his neck.
