Last three games have seen us start with an even higher intensity than was previously the case. It's almost as if they are now under instructions to get the game won within the opening period and press with an almost ferocious intensity. Think we'll need to show much of the same tonight as they are no mugs.

Press conferences are embarrassing in that they show the extent to which British 'reporters' would rather talk about anything other than the technical aspects of the game of football: finances/best in the world/league inequality etc. When he spoke about Silva exploiting pockets of space, you could almost hear their collective heads hurting. Not one question on Shakhtar and the problems they inevitably can pose.

Have to wonder whether football reporters ought to spend time outside of the UK learning their trade.

its going to be a great game, went to this same fixture last season and shakhtar were decent even though they lost 2-0. they're no mugs but the boys are more than capable of getting the job done. also whats the attendance going to be tonight? not many tickets left on the city site which is very encouraging.
