http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/25232622/man-united-legends-dream-big-salford-city-fc

Just read this piece on Salford and was contrasting the tone with the kind of thing we've received over the years from the same author.

It's funny how things like coming in and changing the club colours and badge are waived away when the Class of 92 do it, but Vincent Tan trying the same at Cardiff, or Hull City's owners trying the same drew not just criticism but vitriolic abuse of how these foreigners didn't understand football.

Funny how them outspending everyone in their league is reported as -

Yet Salford's success hasn't been welcomed by everyone. The involvement of Lim, who also owns Spanish club Valencia after failing with a £320m takeover bid for Liverpool in 2010, has led to the inevitable charge that the club is "buying" their way up the pyramid.

And can you imagine if any other owners said this about a 78 year old club -

I know it's not a brand new club, but it feels like it is going to be a brand new club. This is the start of something we are trying to create."
