Sobering to read about the increase of poverty in the UK.

Figures from the Trussel Trust show that in the year to March 2018, 1,332,952 three-day emergency food supplies were delivered to people in crisis across the UK – a 13 per cent increase on last year. This marks a considerably higher increase than the previous financial year, when it rose by 6 per cent.(41,000 in 2010)

Today the UN slated the Government for the impact of austerity:

At Yuletide we all become pious after eating up all the figgy pudding .Throw a coin in the old mans hat and a quick donation to the grande order of Sally Army trumpeters and its joy to the world and a job well done.It doesn't mean we are quintessentially bad it just means it's all stereotypical learned behavior. What should be done? What should always have been done. The bankers who caused this mess should have been held properly accountable for it and made to pay it back. And the decent working folk who were penalised for it ahoukd be apologised to and renumerated whilw the bankers and all who benefited from what they were doing set up apprenticeships, job clubs, community centres, anything that will help. The govt should admit that austerity was aimed at all the wrong people and should admit that hammering public sector staff was an excuse. Im ranting. Cunts.

To be fair, I wouldn't worry about the UN slating the UK. Many of the nation's that develop and support resolutions against "Western"/"developed"/"first world" nations shouldn't throw stones. Their governments are often corrupt and full of graft or human rights abuses, etc

In a nutshell, if the UK, USA or France for that matter, are so awful why do many many people want to immigrate there?

In a nutshell, if the UK, USA or France for that matter, are so awful why do many many people want to immigrate there?

Truly terrifying (and humbling) that some parts of the world are so bad, people still want to move to the US under this shitshow of an administration.
