Back on earth.

This. We are human. Absolute garbage performance but I guess we can’t play world class football every game. Real hard ground to go to that too, fair play to Chelsea they were amazing and deservedly won the match. If pep plays a strong side midweek I’ll pull my hair out, fuck the CL and let’s put the dippers back in their box.

i thought rudeger and aspila(whatever) had great games for chelsea.

1st goal was going to be key and when Chelsea got it was always going to be a struggle to get in behind them.

Jesus, Gundogan, Delph all not good enough. Pep starting with no striker was embarrassing. Ederson letting that ball roll out for a corner? He's been rubbish for a month now (Passing aside). We need another striker & quickly because Jesus isn't even good enough to get a game when he's the only fit striker.

Excellent 1st half without creating too much. 2nd half dreadful, no idea what happened there. No chances created. Picking up injuries galore wont help. Not gonna worry, Chelsea played well 2nd half. Pep will ground the players and we will regroup. Seriously need kun and Kev back asap. Been a horrible day, one were not used to so its hard to take. Next league game cant come soon enough.

Dominated first half and should have struck early especially when Leroy could have hit it first time. Chelsea though came out second half and played really well and deserved the win in all honesty.

Still even with the defeat the scouse rats find themselves only 1pt in front....it isnt unbeatable is it Blues.

A lot of injuries at the moment and we well have them back nice and fresh when it is needed. Pep will read the riot act and he will make our players learn more in this defeat than if it was a win.

Chelsea lost the last 2 league games so they were always going to up it a level but even more-so that it was against us as well.

We move on to the next game. I wpuld have been more concerned had this happened in April, but not December

Too many passes across the back and not enough purpose in the first half. Looks nice on the eye but when we didn't score or even create clear cut chances it's all a bit pointless.

Missed Aguero and De Bruyne's directness in this sense.

Mistake to take Sane off. He was the only one to provide directness and dynamism. Was probably also a mistake not to start Jesus given the amount of possession we had but no out and out striker to make it count.

Wasnt our best and need a couple of players back, but sometimes the other team are very good and in the second half today Chelsea very very good.

Key components missing and others like Silva and Sane well off it.

Walker's place must be under threat if he continues like in recent weeks.

It seems to have gone to his head last season, far too cocky in possession and attempting things above his pay grade.

Let Chelsea play ten yards further up pitch in second half.

Decent first 30 mins, dismal afterwards. Never looked like scoring in the second half - long time since we‘ve looked so predictable and clueless.
Fair play to them - after getting the first goal, they were excellent.
Bad day at the office - onwards and upwards.

Pretty much nailed it there fella. Dust ourselves off and move on. Big game now against Everton; important to bounce back with a solid, professional win next weekend.
