not a massive Gervais fan (not usually a fan at all tbh), but this is a cracking series, just watched episode 4, very powerful TV

Enjoyed the first season of Trapped, the Icelandic crime drama. The 2nd season on BBC4 now is, by contrast, the hammiest load of old pony imaginable.
Well that's good to know. Just started the first season.

First series is pretty good, and they’re stand alones. 2nd series has the same detective but a completely different plot

I watched the whole series last night. I can usually just take or leave Gervais stuff, but this was excellent. It really grew episode on episode and I even shed a tear whilst watching the last one!

Gervais has grown up with this series, about time too. Thought Ep 5 was a bit weak after the power in Ep 4, but excellent overall. My only niggle was the bro in law character was exactly the same as the lanky young one in "The Office"
Didn't cry though, I'm such a bloke :)

anyone watched the umbrella academy?
I liked it. Bit different to the usual comic book adaptations of recent times. Fantastic use of music too. Can't comment on how closely or not it follows the source material as I've not read the graphic novels as yet.
