happy with that draw - only porto would have been easier than spuds - and i'm holiday for the away leg so I didn't care anyway

Avoided Liverpool in both rounds and if we can get past Spurs then semi guaranteed abroad. Happy with that considering the number of English teams in there.

Just so I am clear:-
We have avoided Rags, Dippers and Barca until the final.
We play the poorest English side in the quarters (an English side suits us IMO)
We will be the home 2nd in the quarters and semis
We will be the home team in the Final.
But the draw is fixed against us-all good?

So the rags fixtures in both rounds reversed thanks to the GMP

Due to City being champions and getting priority, does them no favours to be at home to Barca in the first leg.

About as good as it gets at this stage. Happy with that and confident we can make it to the semi and more than likely the final.

Loads of nice little potential narratives and stories.

City vs Liverpool or United in the final is blockbuster.

My fave is the possibility of City playing Ajax in the semis followed by Barca in the finals, in a type of Cruyff Legacy Gauntlet writes itself.

Do have a feeling it could be a Barcelona vs Juventus in a final Ronaldo vs Messi showdown, though.
