Tony Slattery

Well known at the time for being a bit, shall we say, up and down. Met him a few times in the early 90's, similar sort of parties, and can confirm he was an absolute arse at times and not so at others.

Much like us all.

Glad he is trying to sort his demons out, my cousin, who used to be a mate of his from way back when, will be pleased.

Very sad to hear. Very funny guy and hopefully he's got past his demons now. Just watch a couple of episode's of Whose Line Is It Anyway as they are all available on all4 and they are still brilliant and very very funny. Better than the comedy panel shows now

My best mate at school worshipped him. I thought he was just a twat.

Then I read the article and it changed my idea of him.

Always struck me as a sort of Etonian Terry Duckworth.

Moody as fuck how things turned out for the kid though.

He was born to working class Irish immigrant parents, passed his 11 plus and went to a Catholic grammar school.

A far cry from Eton!

That gave him a chip on his shoulder that was part of his problem.

That and being abused by a priest probably didn't help.
