Notts county relegated (p7).

Interesting points from last weekends Macclesfield Port Vale fixture..
Vales manager is former Macclesfield legend.and current record appearence holder. .over 600 games..
Selected 9 reserves /kids ..let Macclesfield win ...increasing the pressure on County.PV manager did not attempt to hide what he was doing..announced it mid week.
Port Vale played pretty much their usual team?

Sad day for Notts. In one season watching my daughter play for their new women’s side this season I’ve developed a soft spot for the club (never felt this way about Forest despite her playing several seasons for them prior to switching to County) They played at Meadow Lane on Wednesday night and it was a fantastic gesture by the club and a proper attempt at men’s/women’s integration again something Forest never managed. Only been there once with City for the 9/11 game but always found their fans friendly, loyal and eccentric whereas Forest are much more flimsy and come and go with success and failure. I’m sad to see Notts slip out of the league today barring a very late miracle.

Great news for Macc am delighted for them.

Sympathy to Notts rotten day for them but going into the conference has proved to be a good turning point for a few clubs hitting hard times and their fans may be pleasantly surprised by life in that division.

All the very best to them for next season and their efforts in rebuilding a historic and decent football club.

That's a clear case of bringing the game into disrepute.

It's bad enough managers doing it in 'nothing games' but even then it's cheating the paying public.

how come you never hear of these things in time to get a bet in?

Seriously, is that not admitted match fixing?

If that's true then the reserves are surprisingly numbered 1, 23, 22, 14, 11, 4, 5, 3, 9, 15 & 7.

Port Vale played the first team. 10 of the 11 were 23+

hey gazza, that quote part wasn't from me, it was from dennis, and yes good work, some of those certainly do not look like reserve players numbers.
