Ironic after they had a hissy fit about the number of tickets UEFA were giving them that it's their own club that are preventing them from getting tickets. But it just sums them up. Isn't it true that they have something like half the number of seasons tickets as us, even though they could obviously sell way more, because the directors know they can make more money selling overpriced single tickets to day trippers and tourists?

That’s what someone (I forget who) posted on here a few days ago and I have no reason to doubt it.

it makes sense, from a commercial point of view, considering the size of the buswreckers' world-wide fanbase, and the number of day trippers, who visit Klanfield for every game.

i have it on good authority that they have 1,000 - 5,000 (dependent on the game) 'exec tickets' per home match too (buy a ticket, have a meal, meet an 'ex star' get a program and a bus to the ground and a lift back)..... Not sure what these tickets sell for though.

If they’re £100/shot, that’s half a million per game. No wonder they restrict the number of season tickets they make available.

They have 25,000 season tickets of which there are 19,000 under specific names. The other 6,000 are from same families and friends i expect. So the other 40,000 go on some sort of general sale

"...the Heysel Stadium Disaster, a tragedy that had occurred months earlier, where 39 people were killed and roughly 600 injured after escaping fans were pressed against a collapsing wall prior to the 1985 European Cup final between Juventus and Liverpool."

Escaping fans! No mention that it was Juve fans escaping from charging Dipper fans.
Or maybe they were escaping from some unknown natural event. A hurricane? Meteor shower? Tsunami?
Or they thought they were handing out free burgers and beer.

Was told a couple of months ago they only have 26000 ST holders.

Match day tickets must make them a small fortune in Krone.

Only 2 years ago their own players were offered executive boxes in the main stand for £300.000 a season

So Liverpool and Chelsea are essentially a tourist attraction?
