John Aldridge has the IQ of a small carrot. Why anyone would want to read his pissed up, city obsessed rantings is beyond me. For me it only coincides with the point that its the opening day of the new transfer season and has fuck all to do with the FA Cup.This is the FA nothing to do with UEFA who possibly couldn`t give a shit what weekend it really was/is.

maybe, but to me that doesn't matter because any player who wouldn't come to this team and all it has to offer with wages, facilities, and coaching because they might miss one season playing in the CL can sod off because he would only be serving himself anyways, and not the crest.
besides how many top footballers do we need? very few, and how many wouldn't come for your reason that would be better than what we have? even less. so for maybe the one or two players it MIGHT affect, i think that part is not a worry.
