Best captain we've ever had.

A true great in every way; leader and legend. Gutted he's leaving, hopefully he'll be back sometime as a coach or club ambassador, whatever role he wants.

Hell no. Hard to believe this is true. One day after the Treble was completed and I wake up to this. His presence on and off the pitch is going to be very difficult to replace. Good luck Vinny. Hope to see you back one day soon.
 
Huge loss of an incredible leader. Never a good time so good for him to end on such a high.
Announced early, probably decided earlier, so plans can be made.
But absolute club and football legend.
Never a bad word spoken about the man from any football fan.
