Mino is the only reason we have a chance IMO. Anyone else would have wrapped up a deal with Barca a long time ago.

That is my feeling.
Surely the club must know now they have to offer the world to this lad now though.
Kompany leaving confirmed it isn't about bringing in just a good central defender, we now have to look for someone who is capable of being the best at the club as well as a future captain.

Maguire is better than most on here are hinting
Remember everyone thought the Dippers overpaid for VVD because he only played for Saints (although I'm not gonna suggest Maguire will be as good a VVD)
Think Maguire would do well for us, even if it's a tad underwhelming

Pretty sure we are prepared to pay the big bucks for special talents (we clearly wanted Mbappé), and De Ligt is certainly also a special talent. But if he only wants Barcelona, there's really nothing we can do. I'm sure Txiki and Pep will try their best, though.
