That article refers to the band as OMD. In the UK that would be Orchestral Manoeuvres In the Dark.
Just a bit of trivia.

Damn! They must have gone through quite a bit of turnover to go from being a 70's Southern Rock act to being an 80's rock group from Merseyside.
 
I have waited quite a while for this moment and the time is now. The final episode of game Of Thrones is upon us and what a journey it's been.
