PSG Owners may scale back investment due to Media criticism / (Allegedly for Sale After the World Cup - Pg 17))

They are focusing on their U19 team.

"In an official statement released on Friday, PSG say that they had discovered 'the environment of its reserve team no longer offered the desirable conditions' in preparing players for the step up to the first team."

sick of paying decent money to no hopers who are happy to bum about and take the pots of money and not put a performance in - hope Ed Tripleplanks doesn't get wind of this tactic lol

This !

U19 team is the one that are involved with all the high profile youth tournaments : Youth League, Gambardella (best youth trophy in France), etc.
The N2 championship is made of amateur clubs and youth reserves of pro clubs. Meaning that the young players of PSG play against full senior players when they are against amateur clubs.
The club thinks that N2 doesn't help with developing players, they are just exposed to more physicality and that is all. PSG asked the league and federation if it was possible for reserve of pro clubs to have access to higher levels (pro level like N1 or L2) but they refused.

PSG then decided that to promote the elite group, it will be better to make the U19 their flagship.

I don't really know the details about what will happen with the N2 team and players. Some sources are saying the coach will go to another club but with links remaining with PSG. Maybe some sort of collaboration with a "minor" club where we could loan certain players.

Some people are saying PSG is only the first one to do that but maybe not the last. This idea have been growing up in the mind of a lot of professional clubs.

Regarding their commitment to PSG, the latest reports are that they plan to keep pushing forward their investment in France and PSG. Nasser went to Doha recently to discuss the next season with the Emir and his aides.

Edit: apparently, Henrique (sporting director) said there will be no satellite club. However, we will work with several clubs.

In parallel, there was news about Bielsa wanting Jesé, the PSG player.

Yep. You want people to stop giving you unfair criticism in the media, then Leeds is the club for you...

In all seriousness, Leeds would be a really intelligent investment. It's in a big and nice enough city. The club has enough interest and 'history' in it to propel itself up the Premier League smoothly. And unlike all the other 'sleeping giants', it's at a bargain price because it's in the second tier.
