Lidl Supermarket

I quite like Lidl but sometimes go in and there’s no tomatoes out or there’s no bread. Never witnessed that sort of thing at any other supermarket in my life.

We get most of our food from Aldi, and then add in extras from Sainsbury’s or M & S for stuff we can’t get at Aldi. Stopped buying supermarket meat though, cut right down but what we do buy is from a local butchers

I use Lidl all the time and can recommend

1. Jars of Curry
2. The veg & fruit
3. Foreign cheeses
4. Italian stuff (olives , focaccia, pasta etc)
5. Tinned tuna & anchovies
6. Bread (which they bake on site usually twice a day)

In fact mostly anything all at a fraction of the usual price. The only thing I've been disappointed in was the baked beans

They do a low GI loaf which is the finest loaf I have ever tasted, and I am a loaf afficionado!
