yes we did really well but with just some those players it would be a lot better if not near unstoppable. So in that context yeah it wasn't the right decision. That isn't to take away from our accomplishment and achievements but you should always be of the mentality of how to improve and what you could have done to be even better.
As has been said by some others this is not just about buying a top football player. It’s not just about ability it’s whether the player fits in with the squad. Pep relies on team ethic and harmony in the dressing room. The club don’t want to end up in the same situation as over the road. Our players constantly say there is no ego in our team. You can’t be bringing someone in at those figures. If this guy at 19 is already after the money him and his agent will be moving him on regularly and causing disruption. Someone mentioned leadership and him replacing Vinnie, that is an insult to someone as principled as he is. I want players who want come to play for us. Also fed up with the crap written about Maguire. Who says he’s not a better fit for us only time will tell. Any player who would rather go to the rags than Barcelona tells you everything you need to know about the fabric of the player.
