They should break the mould a bit and get a really top class fashion or portrait photographer to do a series of team and individual pictures with the trophies.

Yes, but he was OUR lumbering pie eater. I remember George once going forward on a rare foray into enemy territory, the defence seem to part, on and on he went to growing cheers of ironic astonishment, till he reached the penalty area, looked around with an expression of pure panic, then, BOOM, straight into row z of Platt Lane !

Those photos are great, the quality of them is terrible though.

No comparison to this:

Can’t see the trophies properly and the shadows cover half of their faces and kit fronts in the modern ones.

They should be facing the Sun, not have it over their shoulders.

There's not much differential in the positional composition, to be fair.

Our modern one's taken later in the day, as to how the shadows fall, is all.

1pm-ish vs 4pm-sh, it looks like.

You're right, it should've been taken on a Kodak Brownie in washed out colour, and the players should've eaten nothing but chip fat for three months.
