I've just read up on it, it appears that’s exactly the reason the blockade was originally implemented, there maybe be further escalations but supporting terrorists and harbouring the Muslim Brotherhood (which Qatar denies) were the catalyst for suspension of diplomatic relations.

Yes, as I said, it’s to do with the Muslim Brotherhood and not being Saudi’s good little woman that prompted the blockade. Qatar has every right to give asylum to whomever they like and just because KSA and the UAE label a group as terrorists (the reason for this being that they called for free and democratic elections in the region) doesn’t mean they can make a sovereign state do the same.

I think the best thing Rabin has done is expose the fact that these journalists, despite their blue ticks, are really not that far apart from the rest of football twitter.

Getting involved in these highly personal running spats with some random City fan who has dared criticise them has really shown everyone how small time they are, how thin-skinned, hypocritical and insecure.

And how fragile their reputations and careers are (really just based on clickbaiting and social media engagement), hence their responses on Twitter.

Real journalists, who are not entrenched in hypocrisy and wallowing in conflict of interest, wouldn’t feel the need to publicly engage with critics on social media in this way. These do because they’ve built a house of cards and Rabin threatens to knock it down with one swift swing.

There’s evidence that Qatar funded Terrorist including ISIL/ISIS, whatever you want to call them. Wankers.

There’s some evidence some people, private individuals, may have helped fund them. That’s not Qatar as a state. It’s also exactly the same as the fact that there’s evidence some private individuals did the same in Saudi and the UAE. I’ve already replied to your wiki link with one of my own.

The blockade had fuck all to do with ISIS as I’ve said and I’ve not needed a two minute google to come to that conclusion as I live in the region and have been reading about it near daily for two years.

And for Saudi a-fucking-rabia to try and call out any other fucking country on the planet for supporting terrorism is beyond a joke. It is THE country that exported wahhabi jihadism to the rest of the world in the first place. Saudi Arabia is the arsehole of the world.

....and probably 100 other countries too (including some individuals in the UK).
