Fixtures 2019/20 - West Ham (a), Spurs (h), Bournemouth (a)

Bet we get a dreadful set of key fixtures.
If at home for the first fixture, you should be away for the last game and vice versa.
Over Christmas/New Year you should be at home and away twice and not have two consecutive home or away games in the middle. Also you should be at home on boxing day and away on new years day (or vice versa).
This hasn't occurred for yonks. It stinks.

one thing that is quite common in 'smaller' leagues and what I personally think is a great idea is the Boxing Day derby - perfect for the fans with no ridiculously long journeys and a great atmosphere guaranteed: City v scum, blue dippers v reds, spurs arsenal etc - you never know even the tv might like it

Usually we get fucked at Xmas, cant remember when we didnt travel ( eiher a long distance or a late night game), whereas the beloved scum had games at the Swamp.

BTW just seen on Sky Sports News (at 4.40pm June 12th) that Portsmouth won the EFL Trophy - couldn't believe it, took a photograph would love to upload it but bit of a luddite.

They did, or the Checkatrade Trophy as it was known last season due to sponsorship. We won the EFL Cup, or Carabao Cup. Two different competitions.

Despite what this forum would have you believe, the world is not out to get us!

Its a good marketing ploy by Amazon, they offer a 30 day free trial so gives folks the chance to do their chrimbo shopping with free delivery and watch the boxing day matches on the trail and they hope people stick with them for the year.

Still bizarre that the premier league claim competition and more vendors showings games is suppose to be good for the consumer when it means the dedicated consumer has to shell out for 2/3/4/5 subscriptions rather than 1

Re that Amazon trial, is it a one-off or can you do it every year? I ask cos I’ve already done it once to watch the doc series

10-11: away (Spurs)
11-12: home (Swansea)
12-13: home (Southampton)
13-14: home (Newcastle)
14-15: away (Newcastle)
15-16: away (West Brom)
16-17: home (Sunderland)
17-18: away (Brighton)
18-19: away (Arsenal)

So far this decade we've started the season at home four times out of nine. Hardly unbalanced.
And in the last five years?

Also we’ve managed to start and end away from home twice in a row.

OK thanks, thought it was very odd. But surely we won the third most important trophy in the domestic league. May be thats not worthy enough.

I'm sure they will leave us to play Liverpool away around the 3rd from last game.
