My wife is 10 years older than me. Married for 34 years this July and met her when I was 18 (56 now) and I was doing A levels. Failed them miserable so perhaps I was distracted!!

On a serious note, if I was to start dating again (which I'm not interested in doing anytime soon)I'd feel most comfortable with a woman no more than 5 years younger and 2-3 years older.

I'm with someone 13 years older and have been for 4 years. It probably isn't for everyone and you can face some challenges but overall I have more in common with her than most people my age.

My Mrs is 6 months older than me, my last proper partner before her was 4 years younger and was a fucking nightmare tbh, I personally don't get the going out with young girls mentality, a few of my mates do it and they are nearly all nearly driven to an early grave by the insecurity and childishness that comes with a younger partner in my albeit small experience, experience wins imo.

I can relate to that, I had 3 long term (one marriage) relationships of 5yrs, 8yrs and 14yrs with women more than 10 years older than me, was always attracted to the older women from being a teenager, wanted the experience they were able to offer, mainly sexually if I'm honest, at 21 I had 2 stepchildren aged 13 & 9, man that was difficult at times but no regrets even though it didn't last.

My wife now is 12yrs younger than me, so I'm quite lucky in that she makes me look good when we're out together, thankfully neither of us has had any kids, or want any, happy days.
