At first I thought his self-deprecating humour was funny (of course I would, i’m A city fan) and the perfect flip side to his quite serious songs, but now I think it’s a little too put on. I think his label have cottoned on to the fact he’s getting a bit of a buzz around his banter, and they’ve encouraged him to go overboard with it. The pinnacle of forced humour was a sponsored post on his Instagram of him working at Greggs.
It’s like when city started selling T-shirt’s with poznan instructions on.. it kills it there and then.
