The TTTPI is good in that it gives a vague idea of what a transfer value is like across many years/decades.

However with anything related to Liverpool, you have to be wary of the story getting in the way of facts.

Eg Aguero figure on that Twitter, isn’t the same as on other info from Tomkins in May 19
https://tomkinstimes.com/2019/05/ma...ding-a-factual-transfer-price-index-analysis/ 130m cf 108m

Or also from May 19
https://tomkinstimes.com/transfer-price-index-top-100-premier-league-buys-after-inflation/
Aguero 9th cf 16th

Also look at Carroll (Liverpool)

So either the Twitter guy has tweaked the list,or Tomkins gives different data out...
Just read that first linked article. Obviously written by a Scouser. He's had a few hours spare and felt the need to justify why Liverpool didn't win the league.
Talk about agendas, he hates us with a passion. To summarise:

1. We turned the FA cup into a farce (maybe they could have put a full side out against wolves, made their way to the final and prevented a farce).
2. Using De Bruyne costing more than VVD as an example to justify his pointless tables.
3. Snide little digs like "bought with the Torres money" or "bought with the coutinho money" (net spend winners every year).
4. Let's go back to 2008 when City were first financially doped.
5. If large-scale cheating has kept other teams out of the Champions League spots or stopped them winning title those clubs have been massively financially harmed in the process. ( He seems to forget how much European revenues were lost when his beloved team were responsible for English clubs being banned).
6. An easy opportunity to play City bingo, all the usual suspects are there:
Financial doping, human rights issues, direct funding by a sovereign state etc
7. Linking to an article by Ewan fucking McKenna!

Do yourselves a favour and ignore the shite written by the deluded Scouse prick!

Yes, well we have a bit of a problem. We can't find any actual evidence of wrong doing. If we find City guilty, they will appeal and we will look right dicks. If we find City not guilty, G14/16 clubs will be pissed off and might threaten to piss off. Mr. Tebag phones every single day telling us to find them guilty; Khaldoon reminds us that he has the smartest lawyers in Europe ready to tear us apart. What to do? Something will turn up......
We were supposed to be bang to rights by now according to the media.
Methinks UEFA may have a bit of a problem.

I couldn't be arsed doing a detailed summary like that of an article I fundamentally disagreed with.

Watching Sly Sports News last night.

I know.

They stated La Liga clubs have already spent £1billion on player transfers.

Obviously Mr Tebas hasn't commented on that figure yet.
And yet the British media were more than happy to give blanket coverage to his absurd attack on City for inflating transfer fees. Not much mention over here either of the match-fixing scandal involving Tebas's former club which affected Champions League qualification in Spain last year. The lack of balance and fairness towards City by a large section of the British (and Irish) press is a disgrace.

They've had to pay that because City have inflated the market.
C'mon get with the times ;-)

I think they have decided to wait for the process judgement at CAS so at least they get another stab at trying to properly do us up like a kipper.
