Harry Maguire

So Harry played 45 minutes in a friendly last night. Although early, he really does have something special/different to pretty much all our other CBs.
(I said our CBs, not your CBs :) )
But although the 2nd half (In which Harry played) was crap compared to the first he did show that he brings the ball out with purpose and distributes it sensibly, sometimes short, sometimes long, through balls, etc, whilst having good defensive positioning.
He would certainly be a miss for us.
Other notes from the game
- Caglar (Played the 1st half) did show that he may be able to progress to a similar type role as Harry, but it certainly is not an instant thing.
- Perez looks like a great signing
- Ricardo is just great, a fantastic player, just like last season - but he ain`t as good as AWB obviously....
cheers all

Doesn't change they have Ole as the manager. He'll flop under him

That is a given. After having spent half a season, United fans still don't know what kind of style/pattern/philosophy he has.
Listening to Ole, his motivational speeches go like "We are Manchester United, we should not be outrun", "We are Manchester United, so we should aim higher than fourth", "We are Manchester United, so we need to be consistent in our performances". How far he'll get with that is anyone's guess.

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers says the club's valuation of defender Harry Maguire has not been met, following a £70m bid by Manchester United earlier in July.

Rodgers did not mention United by name but said a "huge club" were interested in the 26-year-old England centre-back.

He said: "Harry's a top quality player and no-one has come near the valuation to tempt the club to sell."

Afraid any ideas of you getting Harry have been dashed.

Man Utd are prepared to offer cash + Phil Jones.............

A huge club !!!!! So it’s not the Rags then?

Leicester would be unwise to accept. The longer ‘that lot’ need wait, the more likely they are to pay cash closer to the valuation.

Rodgers have recently stated there is a time scale to any bids for Harry as Leicester are not prepared to play Ole's "patience", "don`t you know we are" game.
