Away tickets

What a joke. Knew this would happen as soon as the trophies started wading in. The fairest system is, and always was. QUEUING UP FOR TICKETS. First come first served. With the limit being only one away ticket each. Supporters clubs should get zero allocation. Most have only been set up for away tickets. MCFC OK

It’s not a ballot tho is it ! It was a free for all this morning so my daughter on 14000 points got one two hours before me on 24500 points

How is that fair for people who live far away or abroad that still go to games

Why are people objecting to these changes? If you are a high points holder who goes to the majority of games home and away (as your points total suggests) then nothing changes for you.

I feel the protests are precisely because this is what a lot of the longstanding high points holders no longer actually do. They simply preserve their previously hard earned points totals by buying tickets they have absolutely zero intention of attending and farm the tickets on. Thus preserving forever their ability to pick and choose the games they want to attend. It had become a closed shop.

Anything that is intended to stop this surely has to be welcomed?

Strange one.

Not really.

The club are dropping away points.

But they aren’t dropping Platinum.

So next season will see a surge in Platinum, and an extra £50 on top of season ticket prices, with people desperate to get ‘double home points’ to try and catch up with people already on large way points.

The bods at City are very clever. Always looking at ways to drive revenue on the sly and on the QT.

My mates lad is fuckin gutted, he's 27 and may have around 20'000 points I think, yet someone now with 2000 points could get a ticket before him.

There’ll soon be a super platinum where for a. Extra £100 you get triple points

Looks like the Twitter fan's poll on the changes has closed. 3000 people have voted so a pretty good yardstick. The majority in favour of the changes. I suspect even more will be next season if the changes allow a wider number/range of season-ticket holders to go and the away atmospheres become even better with even more young fans there. Early days but looks like City Matters have largely got it right.
And how many of those who voted are actually City supporters and season card holders ?
