Not really. He's had a long term injury.His fitness has been an an enigma during his entire time with us, seemingly injured throughout, got some game time towards the end of last season and now we read he is set to miss the first month of this-Baffling!
I'll get excited when he's played 5 games in a row
He did that last season and then went for another op.

Mendy’s recovery so far has been non-contact but he hopes to step that up once he returns to Manchester as he’s targeting a return in around six weeks’ time. Mendy’s likely to miss around four Premier League fixtures before his return in mid-September.
Benjamin Mendy’s recuperation has been smooth and the team in Barcelona are ready to sign him off in order to enable his return to Manchester. Mendy is therefore expected to continue his rehabilitation in the north-west when his team-mates return this week. [@SeanPaulKearns]
