Sane is still about future potential. If most blues selected their first XI, he wouldn't be in it, but he's obviously a very very promising player who could be the best but he wont get there by going to Bayern Munich.

Just out of interest how much would you accept? Most independent valuation have him at around £120 million.

If Bayern offered 50 million what happens to your not keeping an unhappy player theory? There must be a line and in this case imho it’s not selling to Bayern. It sets a precedent other clubs will try.

What do you think Bayern have bid for Sane now? I reckon Duncan Castles wont be too far off. City would get a fee, but it wouldn't be anywhere near what we would get if he was under long term contract, indeed no one would even try.

Castles is a guess merchant.

He has 2 years left and we would be fine letting that run to the end if we don't get out valuation. Well over 100m Euros now and over 50m Euros next summer. Simple.

Nobody would ever want to leave City so much that they cause trouble, unless they had fights with the management.

Including Leroy Sané.

It's a dream to play in that squad. If you leave, you do so with a thought you may be doing the wrong thing, not with certainty.

Sané would be dropping standards a long way by leaving.

I suspect it all boils down to Sane, if he wants away we sell for the best money we can negotiate.
We can certainly deal with the BM involvement in other matters eg emails and their arrogance at another more suitable time.

The only reason he doesn't start for us, is we continually play Bernado in not his best position on the right.

If we played Bernado or David Silva in the middle, behind the front 3, then we'd automatically play Sane on the left and Sterling on the right (and Aguero in the middle obviously).

Clearly Sterling prefers the left, but he's very effective on the right and that front 3; Sane - Aguero - Sterling is our best line up imo.

So you would imagine that a well run club, would already have sold him if they were going to allow it.

Arsenal, would sell him at the death, with no time to sign a replacement, as would Newcastle.

Exactly. And with no sign of another centre half coming I would be shocked if City were to sanction the sale of Sane now with no replacement. Wouldnt exactly be setting up to 'challenge on all fronts'.

I could have said 70million, the point is his value is highest today!!!!

So, 70 mil & tell Bayern to fuck off, is well worth it.

If we had put him up for auction in May, then we would get the highest price.

And we will have to pay more than 80 mil, for any kind of replacement even close to his level.

Agree. My problem is with where he looks like going and the process leading to that.
