There's an article on the BBC website today citing various reasons why the Super Cup is apparently an important game. Strange that they've never given a toss about this fixture before now.

This game is as relevant as the charity shield no matter how much they want to build it up as a worthwhile trophy.

The winners of the champions league play a team not good enough to be in that competition and they try to say it is a prestigious game. Utter bollocks and I'd say the same if we were playing the game.
