The club and Pep have publically said that Maguire was just too expensive. They were not prepared to pay an £80m fee. I don't believe they were telling lies. I think he'll discernibly improve them at the back.Slabhead had a half decent game against a kid in Abraham and a geriatric in Giroud. I say half decent because Chelsea could easily have scored three. Bigger tests to come, let's hope it's another false dawn eh?
