Spurs (H) Post Match Thread

Last week the VAR decision of Jesus' goal was obscene but we won 5-0 so it counted for little expect frustration.
Today beyond belief, but the game should have been out of reach long before that

How the holy fuck can they justify disallowing the goal on the basis of that. Seriously, the club needs to have a very strong word to nip this in the bud.
Too late, the damage has been done now, lets just see if other teams goals attract the same level of scrutiny

Okay, so VAR means complete adherence to every letter of the law. Why do they only check prior to goals? Do the rules not matter unless it leads directly to a goal?

I think it’s a bit odd to suggest that only the direct lead up to goals need to have the rules applied. Throw-in decisions can and do lead to goals. Every change of possession is important in a game and can potentially lead to a goal.

Either take the game back every single time a decision is not made to the exact letter of the law (unachievable) or sack off this nonsense.

Hand ball in the penalty area, is now any contact, intentional or not.
With this rule now in place we should get the ball outside the penalty area and simply aim for defenders arms.
That's how crazy the rules are now.
