Fantastic player. Nothing else needs to be said. He is amazing on the ball and hopefully that will hopefully help us in CL, as we won't be as easy to press against.
Spurs are a VERY good pressing team and today they couldn't get anywhere near the ball.
The unlucky result masked the brilliance of our performance in general play. Rodri does take our press resistence up another notch.

Brilliant today. Seems to learn quickly, after getting caught in possession a few times in the last two games, he was releasing the ball very quick at times when it was needed and was risky to hold on to it.

His aggression is just what we need, won the ball back a lot. Going to be the best DM in the world.

Another bargain by Txiki.

Yep, his defensive game was on point today

Those few instances of getting caught in possession where caused by being TOO comfortable on the ball. That's easy to adjust as opposed to a lack of confidence or ability.
The way we play you have to be borderline too comfortable. Just not over...

Sums things up neatly. I don't know if he will become the best DM in the world but I reckon Pep thinks he can help him do that. He's this good at just 23 and it's a role that benefits greatly from experience.

I've just been so impressed by him from his first interview onwards.

98.2% pass completion yesterday and one of his passes only failed because Bernie is such a short arse ;-)

That shot he had also suggested that he could be a threat from range, which could be useful.
