Not a good start for Union. 4-0 defeat at home to Leipzig and their next home game is V Dortmund.
Pretty emotional start to their first ever Bundesliga campaign for Union Berlin.
Not just that they get the worst possible opponent for their first ever home match, but then they get trashed like that.
Union fans held a 15 minute atmosphere protest in their match against RB Leipzig to protest against this abomination of a "club".
One of their banners celebrated the return of an East German club to the league 10 years after Energie Cottbus got relegated, ignoring the fact that Leipzig is an East German club as well.
In addition to that fans had the chance to bring large photos of friends/family members etc. to the ground who died before getting the chance to see Union play in the Bundesliga, which obviously was pretty emotional.
Every other club in Germany has the same protests. Anti-capitalism doesn't equal communism. RB Leipzig is not a football club, it exists as a vehicle to sell Red Bull.they can stick their protest about abomination of a club into their arse and watch at 0:4 goal difference. They should have sticked with DDR if they like communist alike approach to life.

City and RBL are not remotely similar. City are celebrating their 125th year anniversary this year, RBL their 10th.Every other club are self entitled ****s. They thought same about Hoffenheim, Leverkusen and they think absolutely same about City and if you can't see that, than I'm out of words. But they are ok with Bayern winning 10 leagues in a row buying all their best players. Idiots.
Success isn't worth losing the club you support. I'd rather still be watching City in the third tier than if got taken over by McDonald's, rebranded to "McManchester" and changed our colours and logo to Yellow and Red.Red Bull tried to invest/buy 5 other clubs, most of them being pretty similar to City, 2nd club of bigger town, like 1860 Munchen or Hamburg's St. Pauli but they'd rather be in lower leagues and watch their neighbors being in front of them than getting investment and be competitive. Utter idiots.
I suspect Dortmund would still have been better than Bayern this season even if Bayern had signed him and he stayed fit. However, there's an element of satisfaction you get from beating a strong opponent that is missing from a stroll to victory. Just ask Pep about the last two seasons.Germans are very strange bunch when it comes to football. Dortmund has once in a decade chance to take a title from Bayern and their ceo wants them to sign Sane. Stockholm syndrome at it's best.
And yet their fans have everything we crave in England.Germans are very strange bunch when it comes to football.
